Karaoke night featuring the vampire huntress
Who: Fred and Open
Where: The Dockyard
When: Early evening
Summer was definitely not quite as fun as a vampire as it was when human. Sure she could go swimming still, but it really wasn't about just being on the beach and swimming. The feel of the sun on her skin, hanging out with her friends, and checking out gorgeous girls in bikinis just didn't work the same any more. For one the sun now made her uncomfortable, then her friends were no longer around either, and most of the time girls didn't hang out on the beach quite as much at night; therefore, she had been bored throughout most of the summer thus far. Sure she was taking a few of the summer courses, but that still didn't help with boredom too much. Then there was the other matter of never needing sleep. She had managed to actually watch entire series of tv shows. Sure she had watched a bit of tv before she was turned, but nothing more than a normal teenager. Now she found herself watching a great deal more just out of nothing to do, but she just didn't feel like doing that tonight. She had already spent time training and there wasn't anything to do in the garage today, so she decided to go check out the town. It would be a little difficult being around so many warm bodies, but she had practiced a great deal simply by her hanging out with Lex; therefore, she was pretty sure she could do it.
She had a pair of cut-offs on along with a black tank top. She had a knife hidden within one of her boots just in case she needed it. She found herself at the Dockyard after hearing some bad singing coming from inside. She wasn't really the type to enjoy watching people make fools of themselves or anything. No. She was more a fan of singing, and the bad singing to stereo music meant that it was likely some sort of karaoke night. She hadn't really been all that big on singing for actual people lately; although, it being a weekday the place was rather sparely populated, so she decided to head up to the stage. She chose a song that was more of an inside joke to herself, and of course any other student from the school. It felt good to let loose for a while, and when she was done she heard a great deal of surprised comments coming from most everyone in the place. She smiled a bit at that, and then relinquished the microphone over to a guy who looked a little timid about following her with The Piano Man.
After getting a drink from the tender along with a compliment about her song she found a free table and sat down to await her next turn up.
