Autumn: Claire & Mr. Kaden
Kaden had indeed smelled Claire before she stepped closer. He was paying attention to all the scents in the room, of course, but Claire's was one that stood out and reminded him that he needed to check on her. Though her appearance at the dance was a good sign in and of itself, he still wanted to know straight from her that she was doing better after the incident in Ms. Menides's office.
"Claire," he greeted with a smile at her comments. "The way you use the word 'yet' should make me feel a little concerned."
Claire looked very nice in blue, and with her changed hair color and an air of confidence back to her, she was striking to behold. Kaden almost asked her who she had come with so he could keep a particularly close eye on the couple for any wandering hands. He had to mentally check the fatherly instincts and instead stepped closer to Claire to ask a different question.
"How are you feeling?" He had come closer so that when he lowered his voice, only she would hear. He knew the dance was not an ideal place to have this conversation, and he didn't expect her to go into great detail about how she was doing, but he still wanted to ask. That vision had been rough, even by Ms. Menides' determination.
