Spring: Vangelis and Valentin
Vangelis wasn't sure how it was that he'd ended up at the dance. He'd been feeling resolute that he wouldn't go, but then at the eleventh hour Valentin had offered to let him borrow a shirt and he'd agreed to try it and things snowballed from there. The first shirt he tried had been much too tight on his arms and shoulders and across his chest but after struggling out of it, they'd found a slightly roomier one that would suffice. Vangelis wore the white dress shirt unbuttoned and with his leather vest over it. He'd even managed to brush back his hair and put it into a ponytail, giving him an almost civilized look.
The centaur was still unsure about this whole idea of going to this dance, but he'd now promised Valentin that he would at least go and try, so that was what he would do. The vampire had been very helpful and Vangelis had agreed to try this dancing with him, though he couldn't imagine how the human-shaped beings could do it properly with only two legs. He also couldn't imagine being able to move properly bound up in all that clothing like they were.
The centaur took in the scene as he arrived. Music was playing, the place was full of activity. People were moving in ways he hadn't seen them move before, and he watched them, curious. He saw classmates who he had barely recognized at first, because of being dressed so differently, 'formally' was what Valentin had called it. After a few minutes, Vangelis saw the vampire, standing with another guy. As he approached Valentin, he saw him say something to the other person, then approach him. He looked as if he were enjoying himself, though Vangelis was feeling more mystified by all this than engaged by it. Leaning down toward Valentin, he looked over at him, asking, "So this is... the dance? When does the dancing begin?"
