Jack listened quietly, hearing Alex spew his unhappiness. He carefully considered his words, before replying. "You're not particularly nice, are you? That's not a bad thing, mind you: I never had the knack for it either. I've always preferred honesty to niceties. And you, you have your other talents. Your music, your sense of humor." Though that was, perhaps an acquired taste. "You give off the vibe of not needing other people."
Jack got up, from the table, slowly pacing the room. "It's a thing Hydras would appreciate, actually. Now, as far as I recall, Ashton got detention for attacking you. Leon... Leon lost a great deal when he got rid of his spirits. You might not know this, of course, but both paid for their actions. They hardly 'got away' with it, as you seem to think. Neither are we scared of Ashton, Leon or you. They, on their end, might think you have gotten off lightly for what you did to Ashton."
Jack continued, stopping behind Alex, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I know you didn't. I know you paid dearly. Do you, perhaps, also blame them in part for that? Or some of that anger you seem to harbor perhaps also directed at yourself?"
