After the Play : Sad Panda Adrian and Open - school grounds
He'd said he would go, so he went. Adrian hadn't been in a great mood, which had been the norm for him recently. He'd felt agitated as he'd sat and waited for the play to begin, a lot on his mind. He'd hoped maybe the play would be fun, maybe would help distract him from melancholy thoughts. That hadn't worked at all. He couldn't help but dwell on Bushara as she performed. Though he'd made the choice to split from her, it hadn't been easy and he hadn't done so without some regrets. But he also hadn't been able to keep going on with her while her interests were very much divided. The differing and conflicting emotions had been too much from him. Though he now felt pain at the loss, at least the emotion was consistent. Adding to the consistency of loss was the fiends of his who were graduating and leaving soon, Mickey, and he'd just found out, Ollie.
Adrian watched the play, feeling sad during the sad parts, and also a bittersweet sadness for the lighter bits. It had been well done, and he stood for the ovation at the end and clapped with the rest, but after that, he was ready to go. He needed to go. There were too many triggers here, too many faces attached to losses for him. The faerie pushed past his peers toward the nearest exit. As he exited, the cool air felt refreshing, but it wasn't enough. He had to get away. Adrian moved to a nearby bench and kicked off his shoes, stowing them behind a shrub. He added his jacket and shirt, until he was only his his shorts. The fae pushed his wings out from his back, the long thin appendages stretching toward the sky. He flexed them and began to move them, bringing himself up off the ground. The fae started toward the treeline, with no particular destination in mind. He tried to push specific thoughts of specific people out from his mind, but a lingering fog of melancholy remained. He continued to fly, his feet only inches from the ground, as he moved along the trees, but not entering into the forest.
