Once she had been given the okay to come in, Niamh pushed the door open the rest of the way and entered. "Thank you," she said as she approached his desk. Stopping a few feet in front of it, she shook her head at his last question. "No, I'm okay, thank you." Taking a seat at one of the desks at the front, she continued, "I really have more of a question than a problem." She gave him a brief smile, letting him know this would be more of a light conversation than a heavy discussion.
"I wanted to talk to you about the dance. I was wondering if there was anything left to be done in preparation for it?" She shrugged. "I wasn't sure who to talk to or who was in charge of what, but I thought maybe you would know, being Head of Sphinx House?" As she spoke, she reached one hand into her school bag to pull out a small pad of paper and a pen, so she would be prepared in case she needed to write anything down — tasks that still needed to be taken care of or people to get in touch with.
