One Year's Difference
Who: Oliver and Sara Where: Duke's Diner and possibly around town When: Friday after classes
Oliver found himself thinking about the past as he sat in the chair to wait for Sara. It was about a year ago that he had done the same thing as he was doing today. He was in love with a girl who didn't want him, he was in a huge depression, and he was waiting for Vixey in Duke's Diner so the two of them could have some ice cream together while likely talking about the dance coming up. It was only a year ago and yet it felt as though a lifetime had occurred during the past year. The menu was brought over, but he hadn't actually looked at it yet, not that he really needed to anyways.
He was wearing a white shirt with a pair of blue jeans that had been through a few too many crashes with the skateboard as his knees were now fully exposed through holes. He seemed to be holding the attention of a few of the other customers, but he wasn't paying much attention to that either. No. His mind was on something entirely separate from the dance, from Emily, and school. He was trying to figure out the best way to let Vixey know what he was planning on doing. He knew she would be happy for him, but some how it just felt hard to say goodbye to someone who had been there for him for an entire year of him chasing after a girl who he only managed to hold on to for a few months.
When the door opened to reveal the blonde werefox Ollie smiled and gave a wave to let her know where he was.
