After the Recital: Victoria & Leon & James
Victoria hung around Leon enough to recognize the look. There was something, but he was excusing himself already. She wasn't sure what was going on with Leon. Maybe he'd hoped they could hang out together, and she felt the tinge of guilt. No, she hadn't agreed to anything, but Leon was still her friend and one of the few she had at the school. "We'll talk more to tomorrow," Victoria said to Leon that made it sound more like a promise than just a suggestion.
"We should go," Victoria turned to James, not shying away from the hand he placed upon her waist. Tonight she would be James's company and if necessary, she would show him that Mickey was not the only Spanish-speaker that knew how to have fun.
She gave one last look to Leon, a smile at him, before turning James and herself toward the exit.
