After the Recital: Victoria & Leon (and maybe eventually James)
"Leon gets the night off tonight, Victoria." James said as he approached the other two vampires. "You'll be all mine for the evening." He smiled at them both, but was carefully noting the interactions between Victoria and Leon. He knew they were friends, that they sat together during lunch breaks in school, that they often went hunting together. James had seen enough.
He carried an armful of accolades in the form of a rose bouquet tied with a ribbon. James' black suit was something he could have easily worn to a Broadway show while still not considered a tuxedo. It was a high school dance recital. James was rarely seen out of a suit, so it wasn't unusual for him to stand out against Leon.
"You were magnificent, my dear." James turned a shoulder to Leon as he faced Victoria. James learned from his own wealthy upbringing to deliver a kiss on the cheek, mostly when greeting ladies, while men received a handshake. James did not shake Leon's hand, but he did kiss Victoria's cheek as he presented her with the roses. Red. Red was such a nice color.
"I don't want to rush you, but if we're going to make it to the club before midnight, we need to leave now. My car is already out front waiting."
