"It'll get easier," Kaden reached out and clapped Oliver on the shoulder in a firm supportive way. "High School can be brutal, but I believe you're made of sterner stuff and won't let one thing completely beat you." He smiled and gave a nudge.
Encouraged that Oliver was showing more interest in the idea, even going so far to think ahead to Jack needing to see the proposal from the University in order to let him be excused from his classes, Kaden's smile brightened. "There, that's more like the Oliver we all know and love." He chuckled. "We'd hate to lose you here at the school, but like I said, this place is just a stepping stone. You're going to do great things."
Slowing down, Kaden added. "But first, you're serving detention for skipping classes. The groundskeeper will expect you bright and early for thinning the dormant vines at the gates. Shape up, Oliver." His voice was gruff, but there was an undertone of affection from the werebear.
