Thread: A Face To A Name
WHO: Sorin and James
WHEN: April 2nd, after classes
WHERE: Pegasus dorm
James was not a fan of April Fools' Day. He'd endured through the childish pranks some of his fellow classmates pulled on one another, causing a ruckus in the hallways and disrupting class. Fortunately, no one had attempted to prank him personally, and he'd made it through the day with no incident. After classes, James stepped into Pegasus dorm to return to his room to freshen up and change clothes before his planned evening activities.
There was business to take care of for the coven, homework to wrap up before spring break the next week, and a bit of hunting to do much later. James preferred his blood straight from the vein, but had to make do most of the time with the blood given by the school. Tonight he'd have his fill from a living human and he was craving the taste all afternoon, which made attending classes with humans a challenge. A learning experience. A test of patience and control. James liked to push himself sometimes.
Maybe he'd even ask Paxton for another game of chess.
Pegasus was planning for the Egg Hunt like most of the other Houses were, and James had decided to participate. What harm could it do? One could learn interesting things about others with how well they did or didn't work together. He hadn't described the full scope of his telepathic powers to Valentin when he'd asked. There was no need to show all his cards or brag about the things he could do. James preferred to keep it on the down low, as few people as necessary knowing about his ability, but he knew it would come out sooner or later. So he'd downplayed it and called it glitchy. James' powers were not glitchy and yes, he did hear the students in the classrooms at times, usually when they were overemotional and broadcasting heightened thoughts.
James was thinking on this as he moved up the stairs to his room, picking up the sounds of someone coming down, someone new, someone human, and he glanced up to see Sorin.
"Hello. Sorin, the new Pegasus, I presume?" He smiled. "I'm James."
