Jae frowned at the whine, but she didn't look up at Davian. She saw him moving out of the corner of her eye and wanted to take it back. Maybe she was asking too much of him? It was very likely, but she also wanted him to work with her because he was her friend. They could have fun working together and joking around. But that was dependent on Davian.
She then looked at Davian where he was resting and she stared hard. Had he fallen asleep? It was entirely plausible. Davian was good about that. He probably could set a world record if he really wanted to. Maybe he wasn't asleep. Maybe he was faking it in hopes she would back off. She wasn't sure if she was angry at him or not.
"Ya," she said softly and then a little louder, "Ya. Davian." She gave his arm a light shove, "Just apply. If nobody will hire you, you don't have to worry about it. And if they do and you hate it, you can quit. You don't even have to give them notice. You just leave and never come back."
