"There's what you say," Jae said, "And what you do. You put the effort into dance and you don't even get paid for it." She looked at him, because it was true. She knew that he enjoyed dance in some respects, as his attendance for that class was supposedly higher compared to others. She didn't take dance classes, but she knew people who did and they commented how Davian was one of the best in the class. Even with a dance partner that he didn't like.
She shrugged her shoulders, "Besides, if you're getting paid for it, how bad can it be? You wouldn't need to borrow money anymore." And he borrowed enough that he owed her quite a bit. Only she didn't tell him the dollar amount because she didn't want that hanging over his head and making her sound more like a loan shark than his friend. She was already picking up on the fact that his use of marijuana wasn't medicinal, so she put her foot down. Besides, last time she loaned him money, he used it to have her jump into freezing cold water.
