Andrei struggled, unsure of what to do. His usual response -- fight -- had been expended. Of course, he could try and fight some more -- break a few bones, bash in Leon's nose, snap his neck like a twig -- but all of those were things Andrei didn't want to do.
He'd tried to scare Leon, but that was also something that had stopped working a long time ago. Leon was unflappable these days, and no matter how much Andrei postured, growled, rolled his muscles or showed his fangs, Leon was unimpressed.
Now, Andrei didn't have that much a difficult world view. In general, he sorted the world into the following categories: things to eat; things to fight; things to run from; things to mate with; things to use; rocks. He found that he wanted to bite Leon -- that's how he would've solved this problem before -- but Leon was a vampire. You didn't bite vampires.
Leon obviously wasn't a rock. That left two options. Andrei's eyes narrowed and then, he jumped up and made to run off.
