Thread: Birthday Date That's Not a Date
WHO: Lilie Hoch & Taran Albern
WHEN: March 21, 2015 [backdated]
WHERE: Montrose in Camden
Lilie wasn't one to back down from a challenge when it came to archery, and Taran had issued her one in the form of an arrow whizzing past her head. If she didn't know he was a good archer, she'd have thought he was trying to kill her. Regardless, he'd caught her shooting arrows and then he figured out how to get her to stay. See how good she was and if she was as great as she claimed to be over the school system. So they had a friendly match and that culminated in a bet. Whoever got closest to the apple without actually hitting it would win. If Lilie won, he'd have to wear one of Davian's sparkly pink headbands to classes. If he won, he got to take her out for her birthday. He won by a fraction of a millimeter. Lilie demanded a rematch, but she'd lost. Fair and square. And now she was in town with Taran on her birthday where he was taking her out to dinner. It wasn't really a date, because her owning up to her bet. It was her birthday though, and as much as she wanted to spend that time hanging out with her friends having a party, she was going to own up to this. It was only once. It wasn't going to happen again. When in Camden, Lilie never let her pointed ears show. The town had its secrets, and there were a number of people there that knew about the supernatural, but it was also tourist season. Lots of faces that weren't accustomed to seeing long pointed ears outside of a costume party. So she looked like a normal girl. A tall one, but normal. And she was dressed nice because Taran said they were going somewhere nice. This wasn't a date. "I forget how busy it gets this time of year," she commented offhandedly as they took their seats at the table set aside for them at Montrose. |
