One of Lilie's daily habits after classes ended was to go to the woods to practice archery. More recently she'd been doing it sneakily as Taran's presence was often in the woods doing much the same. She didn't care much to get to know him, and she knew she was being unfair. But maybe she was mad that he was better at her in archery and managed to win a bet which involved him taking her out for her birthday the previous Saturday. It wasn't even that bad of a date, which really ground her gears even more. So finding the time to do archery undisturbed and alone was now a cherished time and put her at ease. It also helped her ignore homework she never felt like doing. She was a strong advocate of banning homework entirely.
As she was coming out of the woods, she spotted a familiar shape sitting beneath a tree. While Ollie was an ex-boyfriend, the two managed to salvage a friendship out of their brief and immature relationship. Lilie still wasn't terribly mature about those things, but that sort of knowledge came with time and patience.
"Hey," she said coming up to Ollie and then squatting down in front of him, "What are you doing? Some meditation shit?" Her bow was hooked over her shoulder and the quiver of arrows was at her waste, full. It made a clacking sound as she'd gone from standing to squatting.
