James found her volunteering of information to be a good indication. He hadn't asked why she had been home schooled instead of enrolled in a private school, and yet Winfred had specified. It was a vague statement to make and said in a way that might indicate she would rather not delve into more detail, but James smiled and still filed it away. Winifred had told him something personal, whether she meant to or not, and he saw it for what it was: the beginnings of a sign of trust.
"Yes." James laughed and leaned back, draping one arm across the back of his chair in a relaxed pose. "All I have to do is wait. Humanity will take care of the rest, and none too soon, I hope." The last bit was said after a moment of thought. James decided he should show some concern about his father finding his grave eventually. Most sons would be saddened by the loss of their parent.
Her last question brought a raised eyebrow from the Weatherby. "Yes again. I hope you won't hold it against me," he teased with a small smile. "None of us choose where we are brought into this world."
