"Better," Kaden leaned back on his seat, which creaked. It was amazing really that there weren't more broken chairs at the school with how large and dense some of the staff and students were. Kaden could only imagine how old the chair in his office, which had been used by Heads of Ladon House for as long as he knew, really was.
Looking up at her from under his bushy eyebrows and watching her sip the tea, he gave a small smile and rubbed his shaggy beard, only now feeling a bit more self-conscious of his gruffer-than-usual appearance. Cressida always seemed so well put together. Even when she was getting out of the freezing water, soaked to the bone, with her shirt and pants clinging to her in ways that still stuck the image in Micah's mind.
"I guess the natural suspects are Kitsune. They don't need a reason to prank someone. They choose at random, I think. Well," amending, Kaden shifted on his chair again, shaking his head. "At random, not counting Hydra House." He smirked and drank some more, draping a muscled arm behind his chair in his reclined pose.
"But Kitsune leaves a trail every time. This... I got nothing. My kids aren't even comfortable sleeping in their own rooms. Some of them are taking to the woods. Some of them are more worried about their property being infested with spider eggs than helping restore order to the House." His head shook again and Kaden took another dredge from the cup she had made him, draining it in another swallow.
