Thierry inspected the place where he was going to put the transmission. He could see through a space set for the stickshift to be set up and mentally began measuring and figure out how to make things work. The Pythagorean Theorem was easier for him to do when he was looking at something where it would be useful. As Leon explained his relation to New Orleans, he was working through some basic engineering that was likely the reason he ended up in Sphinx house.
"You ever do some visiting for fun places down 'dere?" he asked as he finished some calculations and lifted the piece of transmission up in order to see where it would fit best, "There 'dis place down 'dere called Galatoire's. 'dey gumbo real good, maybe 'de best I ever had. Tho' my mére wouldn't like to hear 'dat. Don't let her know, d'accord?" Not that he ever expected Leon to go rat on him to his mom, but it was just Thierry's way of joking around.
Bringing the piece to his chest again, he knew it was time to at least get some of the bolts in and start getting it set.
"Hey, homme, get down here so I can show you what I doing," Thierry called from the undercarriage of the truck, and eyed the space where the transmission would go. It would take work and likely that wrench that Leon was currently holding in order to get it set in place. Besides, Thierry needed someone to hold in place while he reached into the truck to make sure it fit into the space it had to.
