Adina reached the lake in record time. Having been there several times, almost every day she could find it even if she was blindfolded. Whenever in a new place she and Dobz always had to find a place to...recharge their batteries so to speak. It wasn't really necessary to live but it did give them a little refreshing boost. For Dobz it was a bit easier, he just needed to lie in the sun for a few hours...it helped if he was around plants, they usually picked a park for that. For Adina it was a bit more difficult. She had to find a body of water. Most would suggest a pool but the pool water wasn't natural with all the chlorine added in. She needed a natural source of water. So a pond or a lake. Going at night was best, when the moon was out. The moons connection to water made the boost even better. When she came to St. Margaret's she initially thought about asking Ms. Menides if she could have the lake sectioned off on moon nights so she could "recharge." But after thinking of it she thought it silly, she got enough energy from her daily swims.
She shivered a bit as a breeze blew past her. This was the only bad part about her daily swims. As she was getting the water she didn't bulk up much to go there. Just a lightweight dress boots and a coat. She sometimes wore the dress while swimming, but not often. She found it better if she went in with nothing. Let herself merge with the water with no barriers. Also...it would take longer to dry off enough so her nymph features disappeared before heading back. The longer she was there the greater risk that someone might catch her.
Adina shivered again wanting Barclay to hurry up, once she was in the water she'd be fine. Being a water nymph and being born in a country that had cold winters the frigid water never bothered her...in fact...she never really noticed it. As she would become one with the water their temperature would somewhat match. It was normal for nymphs or half-nymphs to never be harmed by their element, so naturally hypothermia from frigid water wouldn't harm her. She heard footsteps and turned with a smile.
