Jasper and Lilie
"Of course I've seen that but it's a movie and if there wasn't the romance aspect it would have been boring, there always has to be some dramatic conflict," Jasper chuckled. "Well I just think..." Jasper trailed off as Lilie continued to talk and he felt their might be a deeper meaning to her words...something she wasn't saying...something that was upsetting her...something that Jasper wanted to fix, "Well I just think it's foolish for people to assume that. I mean I'm sure in most male-female friendships, if both are heterosexual that is, I'm sure there is a moment where one or the other think about it...nothing may come of it, but it's human nature to wonder. And true the real thing usually isn't glamorous but...it depends on who your with. Glamor isn't all it's cracked up to be, I more look for...smiling. I mean I think the best relationships are about smiles, and I mean real smiles. Basically having fun, seeing or even thinking about your person makes you smile, they can still be spontaneous after twenty-five or even fifty years. They don't only show they love you on Valentine's Day. I think that is what one should strive for and frankly...it's not to fantastical I think."
"Well...I usually like to practice my music on my own...I'm very private about it. I got caught by my house mentor outside one time and I got really flustered," he paused, "Are you by chance a fan of The Beatles?"
"I look forward to it," Jasper said as he stood as well. Taking a chance he took Lilie's hand and pressed a kiss to the back of it as he slightly bowed, "I hope you have a pleasant evening." With that he let her go, then excused himself from the rest of the speed dating. He had done what he had come to do. While he was shot down he didn't feel like it was a complete failure, he was on the road to forging somewhat of a friendship with the girl of his dreams and...who knows...maybe he could convince her to go on a date with him.
