Adrian and Lucia
"Keep going!" She echoed, "going and going and going!"
Looking back, she spotted the fairy boy in pursuit and gave a ringing sound of alarm, shooting off faster before his outstretched hand could catch hold of her. Faerie dust rained down on the guests in a soft magical drizzle and Lucia laughed, enjoying the sound of the bell and how it got more urgent sounding the faster she rang it. She wanted one for her own, she decided. She wanted all the bells for her own. That way, when she was in her big room, she could ring them one by one and pretend that she was surrounded by her kin again, all of them dancing as they grew the primrose to bloom on the side of the mountain.
Before she knew it, the temperature had dropped around her and moisture collected into frozen snow, tailing behind her like a gust of winter.
