Jasper and Lilie
Jasper was trying really hard to come out of this his dignity intact. Also hopefully without Lilie avoiding him for the rest of his time at St. Margaret's. He really just wanted to be around her...be near her. Even if it wasn't in a romantic sense. He'd take being her friend than being nothing to her...like he had been for the past few years.
He nodded, "Yeah, even thought it would be...I mean no one thinks it's a date when it's me and James...at least...I don't think they do," Jasper paused as he momentarily wondered if people thought he and James were more than just friends...because they weren't...Jasper liked Lilie girls...just girls. But back on point, "it's unfortunate that in this society today a boy and a girl can't go out as friends without looking like it's more than that. It perpetuates the idea that it is impossible for a man and a woman to be friends. An idea I personally don't agree with."
He was always and observant type and while she was still shooting him down in the sweetest way possible he could tell he was making it awkward for her and that was the last thing he wanted. Part of him wanted to just get up and leave while he could, just give up now. This was a stupid idea, why did he think that after never being able to speak more than two words to her that didn't come out as gibberish, he was ready for a speed dating date with her. It was so stupid. Then...she spoke and when he registered the words Jasper would have sworn he heard the 'Hallelujah Chorus' ring out in his head.
"Kitsune...yeah...that could be fun," he paused, "it is the dorm for the art kids, I could bring my guitar. Maybe play you a little something."
