Adina & OPEN
This was a bad idea. That was a thought that had been swirling through her head ever since she had stupidly signed up for the speed dating. It was all Dobz fault. They had been having their normal Skype conversation and the Valentine's Day events came up. He insisted that she needed to participate in at least one. She mentioned the love grams which he then said didn't count, he meant face to face interaction. Since she didn't want the school to know about her nymph heritage the Polar Bear dive was out so that just left the speed dating. After a bunch of pestering she reluctantly agreed. He had assured her it would be fine as long as she stayed calm. No one could hurt her since there were several other people around so all she had to worry about was making sure her nymph features didn't come out as they did when she got nervous.
Dobz always seemed to have a better fashion sense than her so not having him there to help her decide what to wear was hard. All her warmer clothes weren't right, they were what she normally wore to class and one thing he stressed was that she had to look different than she did day to day. She decided on a dress that was more summery but pretty enough. She just had to brave the cold on the way to the ballroom then back to her dorm. Adina was fairly certain that once inside she would be grateful for wearing the light dress. She opted out of wearing her glasses since she did realize wearing them when she didn't need them was quite silly. Her makeup was light and consisted mostly of nude shimmers. Her hair was down and as a final touch she put in the cloth water lily clip Dobz had gotten for her before she left for St. Margaret's. She hoped that meant he'd be there with her in spirit and some of his charisma would rub off on her.
The first date wasn't horrible the guy was nice enough but she had panicked when she noticed her water glass start to shake on the table. To distract her and calm her nerves she had spend the majority of the date taking sips from her cup. She barely spoke two words to the guy who didn't seem to mind much as he seemed content just talking about herself. Her hands went to run through the hair that hung over her shoulder as she waited for the next date.
