There was another white flash of teeth and a hissing snarl from Ashton as Paxton spoke again. He knew what noble creatures did and didn't do! He was noble! What did this demon know of nobility! But he couldn't fault the way Paxton behaved in how he picked up the books. It was a task the dragon had been given, which was fair, considering he was the one who had made the mess. Yet here was Paxton, the one who'd caused him to overreact and lose himself to the addiction that triggered his possessive side, bowing and picking up the books himself.
Ashton's shoulders straightened and he huffed at Paxton, asserting his dominance just a little longer with a glare down at the demon when he came closer to get another book off the floor.
"Hn." He concluded that the demon knew his place and it was an almost visible lowering of the dragon's hackles as he turned to fix the fallen bookshelf, righting it with ease. "Apology accepted."
