Ashton took the folder from him, his eyes shifting up from the pages to look at Paxton once before he flipped it open and read. He poured over each word, fingering the edges of the pages when he got close to the bottom and then carefully turned it. Ashton was frowning, but the crease in his eyebrows relaxed some as he delved into the story and read about the strange friends.
The dragon didn't make a comment as he read and he didn't lift his head until he was finished. Calmly he closed the folder at the last page.
"Hn." Ashton grunted, sliding it back towards Paxton. He hated that it was good, that it had theatrics and real fire, that Paxton had even added music. Ashton hadn't thought of music for his story. Ashton also hadn't thought of letting it end in a solid resolution like Paxton had. Mending things with the character's mother and his past would be the real goal of the story, not becoming a good firebreather human.
"The character experiences Nurture from the world that molds him into a better person, while his Nature is what sent him away from home to begin with."
