Thread: Of Angels and Vampires (Victoria & Ambriel)
WHO: Victoria Vazquez & Ambriel Triádhos
WHEN: Feb. 1, 2015
WHERE: Outside the chapel
Victoria sat outside the large building that normally would have been a refuge for her, but she felt that the great wooden doors were barring her, not welcoming her in. Inside the faithful would pray. She was faithful too but she could not go in. She wouldn't test it. It was too risky and given what the cross on her rosary had done to her hand, she didn't dare risk what would happen if she tried to enter. Romina told her to stay out of churches and Victoria was understanding why. If she walked in there, she could explode into flames or even just start bubbling up as if she were on fire. But outside the church . . . She held the box with her rosary inside. Victoria used a hanger to get it back in there after she burned her hand. She took it with her, holding the box close despite the pushing sensation it still pressed against her. She wasn't sure why she brought it at all. Maybe she'd give it away or maybe she'd bury it. Maybe she'd just carrying it with her like this. Truthfully, she wasn't even sure what she was doing there at all. God made it clear that she was no longer one of his flock. So perhaps she had brought it along with her to give away. To bury it along with the rest of her life and hope that her family would find their way to paradise. Victoria was understanding that she couldn't hold onto her previous life anymore. She needed to start letting things go. This may be the first part of her letting go of God. She would believe he was there, but she struggled mentally to figure out what this all meant for her. Gazing up at the tall spires, the sound of the church doors opening drew her attention downward to see who was emerging. The boy with wings. The angel. The servant of the Lord. It made sense for him to be in the church, for it was there he likely communed with God. Instead of greeting Ambriel normally she simply said, "There is no soul for you to save here." Because she didn't have one. Just like Davian said. |
