WHO: Osreor Kastner and Ben Proctor
WHEN: Saturday afternoon
WHERE: around town
His first week at St. Margaret's had gone by in a blur. There'd been classes, too many new faces, a whole campus to become adjusted to. The idea of having a stable environment was new to him, something Osreor had really not imagined having again so soon, especially not such a nice one. He'd done his best, attending classes, smiling and waving as he was introduced in each of his classes and otherwise trying to keep a fairly low profile as he soaked in his new environment. Osreor kept to himself, spending his free time after classes in his new room, trying to figure out what to do next.
The demon knew he needed money. He'd arrived at St. Margaret's with his guitar and a bag of clothes and not much money to spare. What he did have clothes-wise was nice, dressy, some designer labels, but he hoped it hadn't been too obvious that he'd cycled through most of his clothes twice already in just a week. He'd tried to match his clothes up in a few different ways, but he couldn't keep on like that. He really needed to go shopping. More than that, he needed a job.
He'd spent the morning doing Internet job searches and finding a couple, but only a couple, of things in the town nearby. Os wrote up cover letters and emailed them with his applications, hoping he'd at least get an interview. The jobs didn't sound great, but it'd be something. His afternoon free, Osreor wasn't sure what to do with himself. He could go into town, and maybe he could even find more job opportunities. But he also knew he'd be tempted to spend his remaining money in town. He knew he shouldn't, but he also knew he'd rather have more of a variety of clothes sooner than later. His decision made, Osreor bundled up and headed outside into the wintery weather.
The weather wasn't too bad and Osreor walked at a brisk pace so as to not be out in it for very long. Before long, he was walking down a recently shoveled sidewalk, shops and stores just a little further up the street. There were other people out, but all walking with a destination in mind, likely eager to escape the cold. The demon was chilly as well, so he began to look for a place to go into, any place really, as long as it was close. He found a small grocery that, even better, had coffee. By Osreor's estimation, it wasn't fresh, but it was hot, so he bought a small styrofoam cup of it. As he was rang up, he passed one of his cover letters over to the cashier and gave her a curious look. She gave him a sympathetic smile, telling him they didn't need any stock boys or anything at the moment. She did suggest he try out the hotels, that they were always in need of bellhops or housekeeping staff. Giving the girl a grateful smile, Osreor took leave of the store.
He pushed the door open and stepped back out into the cold. He had a tan winter cap on his head, the part of his hair not confined by it looking all the more bushy. His matching scarf was loose around his neck, but his navy blue jacket was keeping him warm enough though the material was thin and snug, accentuating his slim form. His jeans were also fashionably tight, and were the only pair of jeans he had at the moment, something he'd have to rectify soon. He began to walk, a little unsure about the direction, as he brought his coffee up to his lips for a sip.
