Leave it to a member of Kitsune to know exactly what days of the week what place was busy and when, Leon thought as he turned away from his intended path back to the school and walked with Lilie back into town. He shook his head some with the small smile still in place. It wasn't a bad trait to have, he supposed. It just reminded him of Mickey, who had lived in Camden since even before coming to St. Margaret's, and knew all the ins and outs better than anyone Leon had met.
The thought of his ex caused Leon's smile to fade away and he sighed to himself. He'd not seen Mickey out and about, which meant he'd found a new distraction - or a few of them - or he'd done his whole retreating thing again to hide from his problems. Leon had to resist the urge to go check on him. Not even a text. He had to be strong and hold off or they'd just have another shouting match. Leon only hoped some of Mickey's many friends were real enough and good enough to be keeping an eye on him and making sure he at least had something to eat.
The Raconteur was one of the few places in the town that Leon had come to with any regularity other than the few stops he made to pick up his spell ingredients or sell the handmade jewelry he used to craft. It was classier than the Dockyard and usually cleaner. He joined Lilie at the table and couldn't help but notice what she was wearing beneath the coat. Lilie was an attractive girl, definitely.
Leon's much more simple and usual henley shirt and worn leather jacket was not exactly winter material for someone who was supposed to pretend to have a beating heart still, he realized. But it couldn't be helped.
"This is fine," he nodded after ordering a tea and a glass of water out of habit. "Do you always come out so early? If the action doesn't start until later, I'd assume you'd wait until then." He set the satchel down beside him and then clasped his fingers together on the table.
