Old Habits
Who: Fred and Davian
When: After classes Tuesday
Where: Near the forest
Warnings: Former hunter has pointy things
Winifred was still getting used to a lot of things about her new life, or rather her new unlife. She sort of liked the strength she now had. Sure she was never really a weak girl by any means, but her new strength and speed was amazing. She actually had new respect for her parents for being able to fight these creatures; of course, she had a lot of respect for her parents in general especially after what happened. She still couldn't close her eyes without seeing the look on her mother's face when she saw the newly turned vampire that was her daughter.
After classes, and blood drinking, she had begun to make it a habit to come out to this spot to train. Sure she had some classes for that, but honestly, it feels better to train on her own in order to help her grieve. Sure it had been a few months since it happened, but you don't just get over killing your mother and leading your father to his death. At least she hoped she wouldn't. It was said vampires don't have souls, so she wanted to hold onto her humanity for as long as she could. The best way to do that was to keep herself feeling human emotions. Also, they weren't big on letting her have her knives in the school. Not surprising, it was a school after all. Who knows if she was actually building up any strength or anything. Her body no longer acted the same, so she couldn't really tell unless she just found a way to test it, and really, there was no need to test it. The more important thing was that she kept her mind and skills sharp. Just because she was learning to play nice with these monsters didn't mean she was going to stop with her family's mission. If anything, she felt she needed to do more because she too was a monster.
She began as always with stretching, still unsure if it actually did anything. She was quite flexible from her human days, so if her body was stuck the same way then she would never lose that flexibility; on the other hand, if her body didn't just stay the same, she would benefit from keeping up with this. After that she did some of the katas her parents had taught her which practiced most every technique she was taught. She adapted some of them to use the two knives that were nearly the size of her forearms which she preferred to most weapons. Only thing better than the knives were guns, but she was fairly certain she wouldn't be allowed her guns at the school even for recreation; therefore, they stayed neatly stowed hidden in her dad's... her car back at Mr. McColl's.
