"From what I have read, Christianity is very young and the early Christians took much from the Greek philosophers," Jae replied, "but it is sad that the people were forced to do it. It makes you wonder how different things might be now if they had been allowed to worship them freely." She thought they were moving into a theological and philosophical conversation, but his comments and everything . . . they were to coincidental to be said, and he was almost all but saying that he knew she wasn't a were.
A faint sort of smile came on her lips, but it looked forced. "It has been, yes," she said, "thank you for asking after that." He had a good memory, but how hard was it to forget when a girl acted as strangely as she had in the hallway that night? Her eyes looked down at the piano, her fingers touching over the cool ivory keys.
"I owe you an apology," she said finally and slowly rose after her hands came to her lap. It was overdue and it was likely a moot point now, but there was an elephant in the room. She bowed before him, her braid slipping from her back to off her shoulder, "When I was drunk I acted strangely and may come off threatening. I am sorry. I was not in the right mind." It wasn't being drunk, but her behavior could probably be associated with the alcohol. Jae didn't move from where she was bowed before him, waiting for Leon to say something.
