Accidental Meetings (Alex & Leon)
Alex wasn't sure what to say to the guy who'd pretty much used him as bait. Who pretty much nearly made one of Alex's worst nightmares turn into a reality. Who actually did give Alex nightmares because Alex couldn't just forget what he saw in the spirit world. His photographic memory could still recall the event with striking detail. Oddly enough, it was easier not to see it now that the guy didn't have dreads. But he decided he wasn't going to stick around for whatever this conversation might be and opened his mouth to say something flippant and then depart, but then Leon was talking and asked Alex how he was doing.
He already took a step back. Not because he was a vampire, but because he couldn't trust Leon. The guy had used him and Alex didn't like that. This wasn't getting bitten and then dumped in a closet, but to Alex it was worse. It was losing his body completely that had been at risk. It wasn't something that could be gotten over so easily or forgotten over casual conversation.
"Why you wanna know?" he asked a bit defensively, "Happy I ain't one of those things?" Which was rude and Alex knew it, but he never felt obligated to be nice to people who had nearly ruined his life. While Alex didn't seek revenge on Leon, he certainly wasn't looking to talk to him either. It was easier when Leon was in a dungeon. Why did they even let him out? Did they not care about what he almost did to Alex?
