Barclay grinned a private grin. He'd predicated this sort of behaviour: Ashton wasn't very good at accepting that movies were a break from reality. Barclay wasn't sure whether it was because Ashton was actually affronted, or because Ashton simply liked pointing out errors.
Barclay leaned in again. "It's a movie, Toothless," he whispered, "those are usually somewhat erroneous. Also, I'm pretty sure Peter Jackson never actually dealt with a true dragon. He's working from what he's got and what works for the story. He isn't actually trying to insult you, specifically."
He resisted the odd urge to force Ashton's attention on him, because he wasn't sure he was being properly heard. Still, instead of licking Ashton, he said: "And keep your voice down, or we'll be kicked out. That popcorn I bought? It's to keep your mouth busy."
