Caleb, Jae, + Open
Jae and Davian arrived back at St. Margaret's early in the morning. Their departure from Georgia included over a day on buses that took them up the East Coast until they finally got back. It was a long, arduous journey with Davian sleeping most of the time and Jae trying to figure out the cheapest and most reasonable way for them to get back without going in circles or too far out of the way. The bus system was complicated but she did manage to figure it out and she used some of her own money to pay her way and Davian somehow got money as well. She figured he pickpocketed it but given that she had no idea who he got it from, she couldn't demand he give it back.
The ride was quiet and Jae wanted to ask why he showed up at her room at a God forsaken hour, but she didn't think it was the right time. Whatever happened at the commune bothered him enough that even things he might have complained about normally were left alone. Jae did what she could to take care of him but without mothering him. She was worried and she didn't need (or want) as much sleep as he seemed to want.
As she came to the party, she wasn't feeling quite so mirthful as everyone else, but she figured she'd show up and say hello to her friends. Kana was there somewhere, she concluded, and maybe she would find her there. She knew that Sara was still in Canada with her family. Unlike everyone else, Jae didn't really have an outfit and simple wore the most casual clothing she could find and figured she could say she was a survivor. That's what Davian told her to say when she asked him for help with a costume and refused his initial options.
She came out and saw someone looked a little tipsy, as they stumbled about. Jae stepped forward to help but paused when she realized that someone was standing nearby and observed them too. "Do you think he needs our help?" she asked quietly once she walked closer to where he stood.
