Lori didn't respond to his panicked questioning...honestly after the way he was pampered this week she was stunned he still was terrified of her. Had she not shown him her soft side...oh well...Dallas did stress that Davian thought most kindness was a trick of some trap. He probably thought she was going to take everything back and torture him any second. Please...she was stern and harsh when necessary. Like when that full demon called her children half-breeds then proceeded to spit on them...pulled his tongue out with her bare hands then fed it to him. Then he was banished...she doesn't tolerate disrespect. Davian hadn't been disrespectful or speak ill of her or her children (at least as far as she knew) so she had no reason to punish him. Also with what she was thinking she'd never punish him that harshly like that in the future.
Loriana chuckled at how awkward Davian seemed with David. She moved her arms around Davian and moved his arms back to the way she positioned him before, "Calm down Davian you are doing well. He doesn't do that with his tail with just anyone. His father and I are the only ones he's done that with. Not even his Uncle Dallas has gotten that. It shows he trusts you...babies can tell. He trusts you because I trust you. Maybe he recognizes your voice since I was a few months along when we first met. My glamour hid it well, even Dallas didn't know." Just then one of the maids in the house came out saying that it was probably time for the 'young master's' nap. "Oh yes, of course," Lori carefully took her baby from Davian. David fussed and almost started to cry, "Oh my darling don't fuss now, don't worry you can spend time with the nice boy later." She shot Davian a smile then handed the child to the maid, "Thank you Clara." She then went to sit by Davian again with a sigh. Then she straightened up her position a bit,
"Now I suppose is a good time to have that discussion I wanted to have with you," she took a breath, "Davian...I don't want you to feel pressured or anything of the sort so please hear me out before you respond. This is my...well actually it will be your Christmas gift to me if you accept," she reached out and took his hands in hers, "I have been thinking about this for a while ever since we first met, when you told me about your home and what happened. While I didn't show it...it broke my heart that someone, a mother would do that to her child. I can't imagine ever doing that to my child, my flesh and blood, something I created out of love. I wouldn't never do that to my children...ever...no matter what they did." She gave his hands a gentle squeeze and looked down at their hands and took a deep breath. It was strange for someone like her to be nervous but it would be obvious to anyone that she was, "So...what I want to ask you...I still want you part of this commune but more than that...Davian...I would like if you...I want you to be part of my family officially...I want you to be my son. I want to adopt you if that makes sense...I do know you are eighteen so that term may seem juvenile but it's the best term I can think of to describe it." She smiled at him, "Davian I want to be there for you, set you up for success not failure. If you fail I want to be there to pick you up and help you succeed next time. I want to be there when you're at school, for parent teacher conferences and Dallas told me you are very good at dance. I want to be there for your next performance, in the front row smiling up at my boy being so proud of you. You would have me and Dallas and...you won't have to look at Chance as your father as I think I know how you feel about humans, but I will expect you to show him the respect you would show me as he is my husband." She gave his hands one last squeeze and gave him a hopeful look, "So...Davian...will you let me be a mother to you? You can think about it if you wish..."
