Jack leaned against his desk, decked out in one of his teacher outfits: brown-coloured slacks, a black waistcoat and a white shirt, buttoned up to the throat. It still looked flawless, unwrinkled, not yet tarnished by the toils of the day ahead of him. When he'd be taking it off that night, there'd be rum all over him where Micah and Dallas got too excited.
Jack regarded James with a casual smile, trying to seem relaxed. He didn't want to back the vampire into a corner. "As you can imagine, the recent vampire kerfuffle has got us all worried. Now, as you know, Ben was identified as the culprit for the attack on Leon and he is being punished for that. The reason I asked you to come here is because Ben at one point fingered you as the reason he attacked Leon. Do you know why that is?"
