Andrei nodded. Yeah, animal blood could be filling, nourishing even. But it wasn't like human blood. Animal blood was like eating nothing but dry crackers for the rest of your life, but human blood... human blood was the trick. It made you feel warmth. It made you feel alive.
"Blood bags..." Andrei repeated. He could honestly say that option had never occurred to him before. Andrei preferred to get his blood straight from the vine and he never had much experience with hospitals, so... "But drinkin' true blood is against the rules," Andrei said. "I, for one, would never do it." He said the last sentence a bit louder, as if ensuring that everyone within earshot would hear.
