Leon could feel the eyes of the other students still remaining in the room on them. The teacher had stepped out into the hall and would be coming back soon. Everyone had heard by then of what Ben had done to Leon. It wasn't a great secret to begin with and Mickey's message to the students to warn them of Ben was just the beginning. He could only imagine what the students near the door were thinking, seeing Ben talk to him. Back for more blood? Threats? Violence for ratting him out? They remained quiet, however, when instead Ben offered apologies.
Leon's expression didn't waver beyond a slight tick in his jaw. It was hard to believe the vampire was sorry. Sorry wasn't in words, it was in actions. As far as Leon was concerned, Ben could apologize and say he was sorry until his last dying days, and it would just be words.
"You're sorry. Really." He repeated, tilting his head as he looked up at the vampire, studying him for a prolonged moment of silence before he shook his head. "You're not sorry, Ben. You wouldn't have done it in the first place if you were sorry. But hey, I hope you feel better having said it, at least."
He unfolded his arms and reached forward, carefully gathering his drawings and not looking at Ben. His movements were stiff and there was a slight tremble to his hands. Judging from his expression, it was not from fear.
