"It's okay", he told her, keeping himself from looking at her until she'd donned the robe. Even with it on, all he could see now was the image imprinted onto his brain of what he'd seen. He wondered at her response, wondered what she was. Not a were. He decided it wasn't important at the moment. He could barely even focus on his reason for being in the kitchen now.
"I'm..." He blanked for a second on bis own name, then said, "Daniel. I'm Daniel." He gave her a small smile as he stepped over to where she had the baking soda water prepared. "So this is all I need?", he asked. "It was just a prank, I guess. Not very funny, if you ask me." He'd looked to his neighbors to blame before realizing many others in the dorm had been pranked in one way or another.
