thread: Surveying His Kingdom Who: Daniel and Ambriel When: Nov 14th Where: the skies over the school grounds
Classes were over and Daniel was flying. He'd gone to the clearing Kaden had taken him to when he'd first flown at the school and left his clothes there, in a bag, tucked away on a just reachable tree branch, hopefully out of sight from random wanderers. He then flew, stretching out his strong wings, soaring up high into the sky. He glided on the wind, looking down on the school and its grounds. The only downside was that he had boundaries here, boundaires that to an eagle in the sky felt much too restrictive. Daniel did obey though, keeping to those boundaries. He knew they were for his protection, and he did appreciate that, though he lamented the loss of freedom.
He had learned the boundaries and flew as close as he dared to them. After a few laps around the grounds, Daniel flew a bit higher and ventured to where he would have a good view of the cliffs, but still be as far from them as he could be, a safe distance. The distance didn't much matter, with his keen eyesight, he could clearly see it all. It didn't sit well with him, that this would be by far the best place for him to nest, yet he was going to have to share with the territorial dragon. Though he looked for it, he couldn't make out where it was that the dragon roosted. He did spot a few areas that might be good for him. Despite not wanting to, he would have to talk to the dragon again before the full moon.
Daniel turned his attention away from the cliffs and began to fly back down and toward the school. Right away he saw it, though it took him a moment to process it. He'd seen the winged boy at school and had been quite curious about him. He'd seen him walking, heard talk of him being an angel. Daniel couldn't quite believe that, pretty sure that angels were something made up. He still didn't know what he was or wasn't, and the wings intrigued him. Were they functional? Could he fly? It seemed that Daniel now had his answer. The young man was rising into the air on his wings. He was quite close to the campus chapel, Daniel seeing them both at the same moment, and the visual spooking him at first. Was he an angel? Daniel watched him as the were circled in the sky, absently getting a little bit closer to the winged being with each pass.
