Sphinx Poker Table: Mickey & Kana
Kana was mostly just following Sara around for a majority of the night. She was getting better at being a bit more comfortable with people, but she still wasn't really the instigator for meeting new people. She simply didn't know what she should say nor did she know what to do. Typically when faced with larger crowds, she was content with staying in the back of the room with her sketch book, and tonight was not all that different.
She wore a dress which had taken her longer to make than all of the other costumes she had agreed to make combined. The dress itself was a high low design with a halter top to hold it up. She had made it from a comfortable material since she had planned to wear it most of the day. Upon the dress were sequins ranging from a variety of fire red colors to many different yellows and oranges arranged in patterns as well as many hidden within the folds of the skirt to cause the dress to have a distinct look of sparking flames anytime she moved. She had also gotten Sara to put her hair up in the same braided pattern that the girl from the movie had. The dress had turned out nearly perfect in her opinion.
After Sara got distracted by the scavenger hunt (Kana didn't like calling it a fox hunt. It felt too close to home), Kana began wandering around looking for a place she could do something that was most definitely not hiding from all the people. She then smelled the familiar smell of something burning. She had managed to stay calm all night, she couldn't have lost control. She looked her dress over trying to figure out where her dress was burning, and realizing it wasn't her, she looked to the table she was next to and noticed that the person sitting in the chair just next to where she was standing was Mickey. She also noticed that there were black marks on the cards he was holding.
She leaned over to whisper in his ear, "Are you alright?" She knew he hadn't been very forthcoming to anyone during his time away. Even his... boyfriend had seemed a bit left out of the loop on how Mickey had been feeling.
