At first, the angel had wanted to dress up as a Biblical character - Moses, or Samson, or even Job - but he had been told that the point of Halloween was to dress as someone different than you usually were. Ambriel lacked imagination, however, so he had no clue who to go as. At some point, when he realized people were going as popular figures, he decided to go as something he knew and admired. While Sam the Eagle would have been perfect, Ambriel instead had opted for Captain America.
Ambriel was clad in a skin-tight suit, coloured a vivid red and blue. While it wasn't a replica of Captain's suit - it had no things to cover Ambriel's head, for example - it had plenty of details that were right. The wings, of course, were entirely wrong, but Ambriel's shield looked pretty convincing, if a little battered.
The angel wasn't used to getting compliments. He quite liked it.
He had spent the evening in House Pegasus, praying with some of the more religious ghosts, and he'd watched a movie in House Kitsune. After commenting too much on the movie, Ambriel was asked to leave. And now, he was making his way to the Ladon fire, seeing many people out and about. It was crowded here. Ambriel narrowed his eyes suspiciously. Where many people gathered, many people sinned.
