Re: Lilie & Davian
"Dove," Lilie rolled her eyes, "he can be a sweetheart or he can be a pain the ass. He doesn't know what he's talking about though and he's running on his own assumptions. One day that's going to bite him in the ass in a way he won't like and he won't have anyone to blame but himself. That'll be a bad day for him." She saw the look in Davian's eyes and wondered what she'd said and then realized she had slipped. But he knew. He knew that she knew?
He said it didn't matter, but Lilie felt like something had to be said. So she said, "I made a promise to someone, whether they think I kept it or not is up to them, but I don't break it. Not intentionally. Either way, I'm not quite sure if we're talking about the same thing, so I think in order for me to keep that promise, I'll just say you're welcome for the advice, and I hope it helps." She never knew much about Davian before this school year but she was finding that he wasn't like what others said. And she was realizing how full of shit a lot of kids at this school were.
"Odin, please," Lilie said and leaned into Davian, wrapping her arm around his waist, having to sneak behind the wings he wore on his back. They made their way to the bonfire and as they drew closer she leaned in and said, "If that person breaks your heart, let me know and I'll kick their ass."
