Kitsune Dorms: James and Adrian
In all honesty, James had had his eyes on Adrian as soon as the fairy stepped into the room. It was childish, he told himself. A fairy boy as attractive as the dark haired Adrian was just as cliche as a vampire wearing a high collared cape, but there it was. Had James still had a beating heart, it would have quickened at the sight of the Ladon fae. James wasn't so undead that he didn't know when he was having a crush.
The problem was that Adrian didn't seem so keen on returning his interest. James didn't like to be the one in pursuit unless he was hunting. It was as simple as that. He was used to people flocking under the Weatherby name, wanting to get noticed, be given attention, even used just so they could say they were in that ballpark of multi-million dollar high society. That's what it was like to be all but royalty in this country. Celebrities even vied for attention from the Weatherbys.
But no, Adrian had not shown interest. In fact, James was growing irritated to discover that the fairy may even be straight. A crush was one thing, but James had his pride. By the time Adrian found him in the mix of medical costumes, James was looking the other way and when his name was spoken, the vampire glanced up curiously.
