Not to be outdone, Ashton followed with a brass trumpeting taunting roar. He tightened up, wings becoming more controlled and feet tucking against his body like a black snake. His spikes all were flat, giving the wind the least resistance possible as it ripped over his smooth scales and Ashton's nose, the wedge shape of his head, all of it designed for cutting effortless speed.
The dragon saw the destination of the angel and his eyes narrowed, not deterred by the high jutting rocks or the short corners. He arrowed in, making it past the first set of rocks before he saw an obstacle. Wings spread and tilted, catching wind and changing his direction to narrowly miss another high jutting rock, only to be met by another.
Celebrimbor snarled and dropped talons, grabbing the rock and kicking off of it with a tearing shred of stone that fell into the water. The boulder itself, upset by the impact of the large beast, began to tilt and cracked at the base that was already worn down from years of waves. It toppled over and hit the water, splashing a big wave as Ashton flew on.
