Ambriel closed his eyes when the warm breath washed over him, not sure he was enjoying the smell of the predator. Still, the warmth was nice, driving away some of the night chill. He grinned when the dragon mentioned his hunger. A rabbit was not the same as two moose. That poor rabbit would not have sated Ashton's appetite.
Ambriel was blissfully unworried about the fact that he was about the size of a moose and looked vaguely like a bird, Ashton's natural prey.
Instead, Ambriel let his wings unfurl, preparing to set off. He grinned at Ashton, meeting that challenge with his own eyes. "You would not be able to keep up with me." With that, Ambriel launched himself into the air, ascending quickly.
