"What?" Ashton demanded, the word accompanied by a growl and heated breath. There was one thing Ashton was always striving to avoid, and that was being thought of as a monster. Of course, some of the time it couldn't be avoided, like that deer with the golden antlers thinking he was a monster. To it, he might as well be. To the rabbit, well, Ashton didn't mind so much, but he disliked that Ambriel seemed to come to that conclusion of his own observation.
"I am not a monster. Tell it that I am not." He had seen the hare respond to Ambriel and thought that perhaps the angel spoke rabbit language for it to trust him so well.
