The adventures they had with this warlock was interesting to say the least. At the moment Emily was lying on her bed contemplating the good and bad parts. Bad, her nightmare self came alive and injured Barclay and herself, good, she won...kicked her ass back to her subconscious. Bad, her friends got kidnapped and tested on, good, they rescued them. Good, they saved everyone, bad, the teachers showed up and she got detention...again. Seriously she was a good girl and now she had four detentions under her belt in her St. Margaret's career. And the school year had barely started and knowing her she was going to get a few more before the year was over.
Oh right she was going over good and bad things. Okay...bad, Ollie almost died fighting his bad side, good, she saved him and then he...kissed her and she...kissed him back. Her face flushed. She and Ollie had shared a kiss or two before but that kiss. Wow. It had to be one of the most romantic kisses of her life and she liked it. It was straight out of all the movies and comics she loved. A kiss in the midst of a battle. Wow. Pros and cons. Pro...it was a really good kiss, Ollie's a great guy, con, Ollie is her best friend and she doesn't want to mess it up, relationships always end badly...her brother and father taught her that.
Emily covered her face with her hands and groaned. This is why romance is stupid. It complicates everything. Right after the kiss then didn't really talk about it. She had to go save Barclay from her evil half, then their friends were kidnapped so they were too distracted to talk about a little kiss. A little amazing kiss. She had sort of been dreading talking about it with him because she wouldn't be able to brush it off as a fluke this time. Sure she could say it was just the heat of the moment, but that would be a lie. She had wanted him to kiss her barely a moment before he went and did it.
She groaned again and flopped down across her bed. her head dangled off the side her hair touching the floor. Maybe if she stayed like this for a while the blood rushing to her head would make her pass out and she could put off the conversation a little longer. No...that was not a good way to handle things. Frankly her plan so far was to avoid him...hide in her room...he'd never find her there. It was her room...she enjoyed her room. If you wanted to find her...she'd be in her room. Okay so it was a bad plan and now she was just waiting and dreading the knock on her door. He'd realize soon enough that she was avoiding him and he'd come to find her because...that is how Ollie was. Then as she predicted the knock...and it was the knock she recognized as his. She sighed and shouted out,
"Come in...it's open."
