thread: detention (cressida & davian)
WHO: Cressida Hallowfen & Davian Rivera
WHEN: Friday, Oct. 24 [backdated]
WHERE: Cressida's Office
WARNING: Language!
Cressida sat behind her desk with homework from students sitting before her, a pen in her hand as she corrected what needed to be corrected. Her classwork didn't involve just solving problems but a lot of explanation to. Some students were brief and others used flowery language, repeating itself over and over, hoping that she would judge based on how much they wrote and not the content. Those students were in for a surprise. The office was lit by the sun coming through the windows for now and nearby her large desk sat another. It usually sat in a corner inconspicuously and covered with a tablecloth with a potted plant on top. But when detention came around, the tablecloth was folded and put aside, the plant found a new place near a window. The door to her office was open for now. On her syllabus she posted hours she would be in her office and so the open door let them know that they could come inside if they wanted to ask questions or see what they could do about their grade. She could hear Davian approaching before he even showed up at the threshold of her office. She knew some students were prone to foul language, but Davian seemed to use it more liberally. It appeared, Lord Byron's search for the boy proved successful. She chuckled a little at the names Davian threw in Lord Byron's direction, but the fact that his voice was still coming closer meant that despite how angry he was, the dog must have intimidated him enough to keep him moving. Moments later the demon was being nudged through the door by the massive dog and Cressida looked up from her grading and sat back in her chair. "Mr. Rivera," she said, "how good for you to come. I was starting to think you were avoiding me." She knew he must have been. The last time they really addressed each other was over the network where she'd embarrassed him after he'd attempted to embarrass her. It wasn't something she was really all that proud of, though she didn't feel that what she said was all that off the mark. It appeared that Davian was more than happy to dish it out, but he had a hard time getting it back at him. She'd been meaning to talk to him, but had given him space for now. She intended to use this detention to have a word with him about it, but then he'd skipped . . . . "Sit down,"s he motioned to the desk not far from where her large one sat. Standing up, she picked up a stack of papers from the corner of her desk and a pencil. She'd talk to him at some point today; however, his skipping class and detention had earned himself another two and she didn't want him to think that detention with her was going to be easy.. |
