Davian snickered and his tail swished side to side with a few lashing movements as he let go of her face and stepped back, feeling embarrassed and like he'd been caught doing something bad. "Well," he shrugged, rubbing a hand through his hair, catching on his jagged horns, "He's just a human. Not like I couldn't take him."
Boasting was easier than actually doing the thing, not that he'd bring it up. Davian sniffed and gave another shrug, reaching up to rub his shoulder over the place where his own wings had once grown.
"Anyway, whatever." shaking his head and looking her over again, eyes lingering on the wings with a glint of longing in his eyes, even if they were small and probably didn't even carry her weight, Davian moved to the door. Slouching again, that edge of confidence gone, Davian pressed his teeth together and ducked his head down. "Later."
